"Necessity is the mother of invention" is a well-known proverb. It means, roughly, that the primary driving force for most new inventions is a need.
There is a need to help small to medium businesses to grow their businesses considering the following factors
Higher and quicker return
DMA Consulting has come up with MUM marketing. This stands for Multi Use Marketing.
Looking at the way a business can increase their profits there are 3 ways.
1. Customer Retention
2. Reduced Job Cost
3. More Sales
If you have a set of software tools that can help in multiple areas then your risk is reduced as you can increase you profits in more than one way using the same software. This will also reduce your cost as the cost of the tools is divided amongst all the areas. There will be a higher and quicker return, when you combine all the areas together and a quicker return as some as will respond quicker.
A couple of examples:
Reviews: If you ask a happy customer to give you a review by sending an easy to follow link they will probably do it. The company then responds to the review and specifically to the person leaving he review. On of the deciding factors for a person to work with your company is seeing your reviews and how you respond to them. If you respond to customer’s reviews they also feel a better to connection to you and you start building trust. Also Google likes to see lots of reviews and it helps your rating.
This helps in customer retention and more sales, a double win. A brief note on customer retention, it costs 5 times as much to get a new customer then to keep a current customer happy. I have more 20 year customers then less than 5 year customers and because of this I have never marketed.
Texting: Some people like to text and others don’t but what really matters is that your customers are starting to ask for texting. If you integrate texting into your business you keep your customers and potential customers happy. The texting software I use now, allows you to see and respond to texts right from your desktop. Texting can be used for such things as appointment reminders, weekly coupons, communications to your field employees, and much more. Texting can easily apply to all 3 of the above profit generators.
